Adam Eugene McDonald passed away at home on Sunday, September 3, 2023, at the age of 13. He was born in Elkhart, Indiana on July 9, 2010, to his parents Helen (Jeannie Moore) Rumbaugh and Adam McDonald Sr.
Whatever it was he tried, Adam put his sincere effort into it. He had a heart that loved purely and he wore it on his sleeve. He was open to love anytime you needed it. He consoled the hearts of many, from the very young to the old. Adam's enthusiasm for laughter was infectious and brought a smile and color to everything he did. Above all else, he was a very caring, kind, helpful and funny child.
His Mother, Helen (Jeannie ) was his #1 fan and her life reason. Family and friends were very important to him and a big part of his life. Some of the best times Adam spent were with his brothers and sisters and all his friends.
Adam loved to do tricks and stunts on his BMX bike and he was very good at it. He had great fun with his brother Kaiden, sister Justice and friends climbing trees. He liked building stuff with wood and was known for building his own unique figurines and robots with Legos.
He also cherished the time he got to spend with grandparents as well as his aunts and uncles; he loved them all very much.
Adam is survived by his parents, Helen (Jeannie Moore) Rumbaugh and stepfather, Logan Rumbaugh of South Bend, his father Adam McDonald Sr of Elkhart; younger brothers, Kaiden Moorhead of Mishawaka, Bo Garris Jr., Tay Rumbaugh Of South Bend, Timmy McDonald, Ray McDonald of Elkhart; little sisters, Justice Garris, Journey-May Rumbaugh of South Bend; grandparents Mark and Melanie (Harter) Moore of South Bend, special grandma Lorrie Harris and grandpa Clyde Harris, grandma Marissa Woods; great grandparents, Christena Stachowski and Lisa Woods; aunts Jessie Dorsey, Kelly McDonald, Kenzie Whitman, Cearia Woods, Peysyn Woods; uncle Braxton Whitman, Aden Moorhead; cousins and numerous other extended relatives and friends.
Adam was proceeded in death by his uncle, Tony McDonald; grandma Diana Sparr; grandpa Ben Rumbaugh.
Public viewing and visitation: Adam's family will greet friends from 11am - 1pm on Saturday, September 9, 2023 with a celebration of Adam's life immediately following at 1pm. Cruz Family Funeral Home, 1109 Lincolnway W, Osceola, IN 46561
Burial will take place following services at Olive Cemetery 61081 Co Rd 3, Elkhart, IN 46517.
