Alice J. Larson, 82, of Osceola passed away at 9:15 a.m. Sunday April 6, 2014 at the Elkhart Hospice House. She was born May 8, 1931 in Eaton, Indiana to Walter & Jennie (Peck) Johnson.
On September 16, 1971 in Paragough, Arkansas she married Louis O. Larson. He survives along with 1 son, Walter Crawford of Osceola; 1 stepdaughter, Joanie Howe of Mishawaka;2 stepsons, Louis (Chris) Larson of Elkhart, Raymond Larson of Osceola;5 grandchildren, one whom she raised Allen (Tangula) Crawford of Mishawaka;10 great-grandchildren and a sister, Jeanelle (Barney) Chilton of Florida.
Alice was a member of the Osceola United Methodist, a member of the Women of the Moose for 27 years, a volunteer at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center for 17 years and she enjoyed reading. She was a master beautician and was the owner/operator of Lovely Lady Salon in Osceola for 35 years, retiring in 1974.
Visitation will be for 2 hours prior to the 1:00 p.m. Thursday April 10, 2014 funeral service at Zimmerman-Inman Funeral Home in Osceola. Pastor Bob Vale from the Osceola United Methodist Church will preside and entombment will follow in Riverview Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to the family to help defray funeral expenses.
