Amos Leroy Bradley

Amos Leroy Bradley, age 97 of Osceola, passed away Sunday, October 3, 2021, at the Center for Hospice, Raclin House. Amos was born December 31, 1923, in South Bend, Indiana to the late Clarence and Florence (Walters) Bradley.  He was a graduate of Mishawaka High School and later attended Purdue University. On March 12, 1943, Amos heard the call of his country and was drafted into the US Navy during WWII where he 0served honorably until his discharge following the war in 1946. Amos married Georgia Gay on April 6, 1946. Georgia preceded him in death on July 8, 1971.  Later, he married Stella Concha on January 21, 1985

Stella Bradley, his wife of 36 years survives, along with his children Barb (Ed) Brown, Vicki (Pablo) Lara, and Brian (Sherri) Bradley.  Amos is survived as well by his grandchildren Mandy (Jeff) Deak, Adam (Yuko) Brown, Natalie (Steve) Bowman, Bessie (Zeb) Wall, Brian (Janet) Lara, Obed Lara, Benjamin Lara, Rochelle (Matthew) Fehrn, Jared Delgado, Nick (Sarah) Delgado and his great grandchildren Grace, Emma, Audrey, Rachel, Lydia, Lucas, Waylon, Remington, Lyla, Ashley, Emily, Lauren, Brianna, Blake, David and Ellianna.  Preceding him in death were his siblings Lloyd, Roland, and Warren Bradley.

A celebration of Amos’ life will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, October 8, 2021, at Cruz Family Funeral Home in Osceola with one hour of visitation prior to the ceremony.  Pastor Greg Serafino of Osceola Grace Church will officiate the service and military honors will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.

Amos was employed for many years in the Air Brake and Struts Division of the Bendix Corporation before retiring in 1998.  In his spare time, he loved traveling with his family and taking them to Travelogs where they could experience new places from around the world.  He also enjoyed bird watching, picking blueberries and visiting the Studebaker Museum in South Bend.

Above all, Amos loved spending time with his family.  He was blessed to spend time with them in worship at Osceola Grace Church for many years and his children and grandchildren will never forget the many Sunday afternoon meals with Amos and the experiences they shared around the table sharing stories and laughter as a family.
