Andrew David Knight, age 37 of Mishawaka, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 24, 2021, in Lafayette, Indiana.  Andrew was born March 24, 1984, in Washington DC to David and Susan (Barnes) Knight.  He was a graduate of Grace Brethren Christian School and went on to study at Washington Bible College where he met his soulmate, Danielle Grace “Danny” Charles.  Andrew and Danny were married January 6, 2007, in Washington DC.

Danny survives, along with their three children whom Andrew adored: Malakai Knight, Abram Knight, and Claire Knight.  His parents, Pastor David and Susan Knight survive as well as his sister Amanda (Jordan) Damon of Ashely, Ohio. Surviving as well are his nieces Adilyn and Collins Damon and his nephew Hudson Damon, his in-laws Hugh and Grace Charles, and his brother in law Nigel Charles.  Also surviving are several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Memorial visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Thursday, July 29, 2021, at Osceola Grace Church, 58343 South Apple Road, Osceola, Indiana.  A celebration of Andrews life will be held at 6:30 pm Friday at Osceola Grace Church. Cruz Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Osceola is assisting with the arrangements.

Andrew was an avid fan of the Washington Nationals and was able to spend time with his family at Spring training in West Palm Beach, Florida before the beginning of the 2021 season.  An avid fan of sports, Andrew also served the Osceola Grace Eagles youth football team for many seasons as their Chaplain and had recently taken a position as their defensive line coach.   Andrew was an “old soul” who loved all types of music and sang in the acapella choir at Washington Bible College.  He will be remembered for his love of swimming and his interest in history.

Most of all, Andrew displayed his faith in God at all times, even through the difficult trials he faced while awaiting a new kidney.  He served the Lord faithfully through the ministry at Osceola Grace Church and was currently serving as an Elder intern at the church and had a passion for supporting missionaries and missions in the church.

His infectious smile and laugh, his “selfie face” and the passion he had for life will never be forgotten. To share a memory of his life, light a virtual candle in his memory, or leave a message of condolence for the Knight family, please follow the links provided on the tribute wall tab above.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Osceola Grace Eagles football team. Please make  your check to "Michiana Christian Football Club" and place "Knight fund" in the memo line.  Cruz Family Funeral Home will make envelopes available at the services for donations or donations may be mailed c/o Osceola Grace Church.

Anyone who wishes to support Danny and the children during this unexpected and very difficult time may make a secure contribution to the family by utilizing the “Donation” tab on the top of the obituary.
