Anthony Wine

Anthony “Tony” Wine, age 52, of Elkhart, passed away at the Esther House on Friday, February 7, 2025. Tony was born on October 5, 1972, in Elkhart, IN, and attended Memorial High School.

Tony had a passion for music, especially metal, and never missed a chance to play his guitar or attend a good concert—his favorite being the annual Big Growl. He also loved playing video games and had a competitive streak when it came to golf, horseshoes, and cornhole. Tony enjoyed spending time outdoors camping and hunting whenever he could.

Tony worked as a mechanic and loved to restore and ride older motorcycles, taking pride in bringing them back to life. He also loved to make people laugh with his quick wit and legendary dad jokes, brightening everyone’s day. 

Above all, Tony cherished his family. He is survived by his parents, Bob and Anjie Wine of Elkhart, and his children: Carissa Ellis of Alabama, SeanTyler (Samantha Luce) Ellis of Elkhart, Terry Ray of Goshen, Cheyenne Barrett, Ally Wine of Elkhart, and Desiree Mervine, all of Elkhart. He also leaves behind 11 beloved grandchildren, as well as his nieces Chianna Wine and Laci Reige. Tony was preceded in death by his daughter, Kayla Danielle Ellis; his sister, Mary Kathleen “Katy” Wine; and his grandmother, Nina King.

A celebration of Tony’s life will be held at a later date. Cruz Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Osceola has been entrusted with his care.
