Aubrey Dee "Bud" Reeves

Aubrey Dee “Bud” Reeves, age 76 of Elkhart, passed away at home surrounded by his family on Saturday, June 30, 2018.  Bud was born August 26, 1941 in Truman, Arkansas to the late Boss E. and Opal (Lancaster) Reeves.  Following graduation from Mishawaka High School in 1959, Bud enlisted in the US Air Force where he served honorably from 1961-1965.  He was later employed as a division manager with the Skyline Corporation until his retirement in 2004.

Surviving are his sons Franky (Stacy) Reeves of Osceola and Tony (Teresa) Reeves of South Bend.  He is also survived by his grandchildren Whitnea (Kevin) Ralstin, Franky Reeves Jr., and Heather (Chase Caldwell) Reeves.  Bud was also eagerly anticipating the arrival of his first great-grandchild who is due in December 2018.  Surviving as well are his siblings Doyle Lawson, Donald Reeves and Kenneth “KBR” (Janet) Reeves, all of Mishawaka, Mona Penn of Granger, and Patricia (Donny) Young of Port Charlotte, Florida.  He was preceded in death by his sister Jeanette Groneman and his brother Norman Lawson.

There will be 2 hours of memorial visitation from 11am-1pm Saturday, July 7, 2018 at Cruz Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Osceola.  A celebration of Bud’s life and military honors will follow at 1:00 pm.

Bud enjoyed spending time outdoors, fishing and woodworking, cooking and cooking out while entertaining friends around his pool, and cruising around town in his sports car.  Most importantly, Bud cherished time spent with his family and grandchildren.

In his memory, donations may be given to the Center for Hospice.  The Reeves family would like to extend a special thanks to Hospice for all the wonderful things they have done for Bud.
