Beverly Ann Sudlow

Beverly Ann (Feole) Sudlow, age 73, passed away Friday, June 3, 2016 at her home in Elkhart. Bev was born June 3, 1943 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Robert and Alberta (Bjork) Feole. At a young age, her family moved to Walled Lake, Michigan, where she graduated from Walled Lake Senior High School in 1961. She then worked at Pontiac State Hospital before enrolling at Bethel College where she met her husband Terry. They were married June 25, 1966 in Farmington, Michigan. Bev later graduated from Bethel in 1968 with a Bachelor’s Degree in elementary education. After teaching three years at Concord Central, she took time off to have two children and complete her Master’s Degree from Indiana University, South Bend. In 1985, she began teaching at St. Joseph Elementary School in South Bend where she continued until her retirement in 2006.

Surviving is her husband of 49 years, Terry Sudlow of Elkhart, and her daughter Wendy (Charlie) Tidwell of Mishawaka. Also surviving are three grandchildren; Steve, Sarah & Andrea, and five great grandchildren; Braydon, Konnor, Kylie, Aelynn, and Emery. Bev is survived as well by her siblings Gloria (Jan) Hadley, Shirley (Elmer) Bowers, Elaine (Joe) Kerchen and Charles Feole.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at Zimmerman-Inman Funeral Home in Osceola. There will also be one hour of visitation prior to the 11:00 am funeral service on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at Cedar Road Missionary Church in Osceola. Entombment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.

Bev was a member of Cedar Road Missionary Church for over forty years where she was a Sunday school teacher, greeter and helped with many church functions, particularly with church dinners. In her leisure time, she pursued genealogy, first her husband’s, and then her own. She particularly enjoyed trips to the zoo, visiting Dollywood, and spending time with her family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Caring Voice Coalition, 8249 Meadowbridge Rd. Mechanicsville, VA, 23116 which provided her with educational and financial support for her chronic disease, or Cedar Road Missionary Church of Osceola.
