Billy (Bill) A. Skorochod unexpectedly passed on to his next journey on May 27, 2022 at 62 years old.
Over his lifetime, Bill enjoyed playing basketball, tennis, bowling, and riding his bicycle on long trips. He loved all sports, but especially the Dallas Cowboys, St. Louis Cardinals, and Notre Dame football. He was very knowledgeable on sports players, statistics, and the history of the sports he enjoyed. Aerosmith and Def Leppard were his favorite bands, but he could enjoy any genre of music. He was also well known for loving fine cuisine, such as hot dogs, hamburgers, pizza, potato chips, HoHos, and Mountain Dew. Surprisingly, he was an expert at baking orange roughy for others.
Everyone who knew him would describe him as thoughtful, kind, helpful, and generous. He definitely had a fun and goofy side to balance his personality, and his laughter was contagious. He worked at Michiana Merchandising Systems and Richmond Master Distributors as a warehouse manager for over 30 years. He spent his last few years working at Walmart in Osceola. Bill deserved a long life after a lifetime of working hard.
He was preceded in death by his parents who immigrated to the US from Ukraine. Locally, Bill’s family includes his loving stepdaughter Andrea Teeter of Osceola, and her family - daughter Taylor Teeter and her son Aiden, daughter Morgan Teeter and her son Leiland, and son Payton Teeter.
Cruz Family Funeral Home of Osceola is in charge of the arrangements, where cremation will take place. A Celebration of Bill’sife will take place at a later date.
Rest in eternal love and peace Bill, we will all miss you dearly. Toodeloo!
