Bob was the owner of Adkins Woodworks for over 30 years. He exemplified dedication and hard work and he never missed a day of work until his well-deserved retirement at the age of 75. His commitment and reliability were admired by those he served and passed down to his son, Ed as he followed in his father's footsteps.
A true enthusiast of classic cars, he found immense joy in restoring and preserving automotive treasures. Two of his most cherished possessions were his '57 Chevys, which he meticulously maintained and cherished like members of his own family. Through his love for these vehicles, Bob found a community of like-minded individuals and formed lifelong friendships in the Chevy Car club. One highlight of Bob’s life was participating in the Osceola Memorial Day parades. With his perfectly restored Chevys, he proudly drove down Lincolnway West, bringing joy and nostalgia to onlookers young and old.
In addition to his love for cars, Bob was a devoted companion to his loyal dog, "Tasker." Their bond was unbreakable, and their connection was a source of comfort and companionship. NASCAR also held a special place in Bob's heart. He enjoyed every race, eagerly following his favorite drivers.
When Bob needed peace and quiet, he found it in the mountains. The tranquil landscapes served as a much needed get away from the bustling world. He embraced the beauty of nature, whether it was hiking trails, hunting and fishing, or simply enjoying the breathtaking views.
Above all, Bob held his family dear to his heart. He was a loving and dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and friend. His commitment to his loved ones knew no bounds, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
