Bradley Scott Shaw, Sr., 32, of Osceola, passed away after a brief battle with Covid on Friday, January 28, 2022, at St. Joseph Regional Hospital. Bradley was born to Brenda Shaw. Bradley married his best friend and the love of his life, Mrs. Areca (Gyuriak) Shaw on February 14, 2019. Bradley was in good health until last summer and when he could no longer care for himself, his wife was able to be his caregiver so that he could remain in his home, as he wished. Together they share eight (8) children: Kahli Shaw, age 12; John Shaw, 13; Travis Terry, Jr, 11; Bradley Shaw Jr, 7; Auggie Shaw 5; Briella Gyuriak 4; Rhyder Shaw, 2; and Daisy, 11 months.
Anyone who knew Bradley knew that he was a loving husband, protective father, fierce friend, and a hard worker up until a work-related injury that left him disabled. Even with a limited mobility, he continued to make each child’s birthday special and delighted in lighting their birthday candles and often baked and decorated his children’s’ cakes. He lovingly called his first-born daughter “Nay-Nay”. Bradley developed a love for cars at an early age while playing with Matchbox cars with his cousins Joshua and Jeremiah. Bradley became known as a Chevy enthusiast. He enjoyed restoring vintage cars alongside his wife who he was proud to teach her how to use his tools and he often borrowed her skinny arms to reach the tight places he couldn’t. He enjoyed spending time with his family, cooking on his grill, and family camping at Jellystone Fremont. This past June he and his wife celebrated their children with a one-day trip to Jellystone water park. He enjoyed fishing with his children on the St. Joseph River and riding his motorcycle with his wife who he called his “Queen”. He grew up with a large family, whom he loved dearly.
His friends have shared that he was a great person with a big heart, that he would do anything for anybody, that he was a gentle man, and he had a heart of gold. He treasured his friends from Jimtown High School where he played football. Over the years, Brad made many friends and many of them he considered his brothers, including Jordan Goorhouse, Rob Post, and Dwayne Trippett. He also grew up with cousins that he felt were brothers and sisters to him including Joshua Linde and Jeremiah Rospopo. Dominique Parker-Shaw and Emma Shaw
