Brogan Casey Oldfather

Brogan Casey Oldfather, age 14 of Osceola, passed away Friday, October 20, 2023.  Brogan was born on May 22, 2009, in South Bend, Indiana to Steve and Jodi (Goon) Oldfather.

He is survived by his parents Jodi Oldfather of Mishawaka and Steve Oldfather of Osceola as well as his sister Teagan Oldfather. Also surviving are his grandparents Karlton and Julia Goon and Sharon and Rich Delagrange, all of Warsaw.  Surviving as well are several aunts and uncles, cousins and friends.

A memorial gathering will be held for Brogan’s family and friends from 4:00-7:00 pm Friday, October 27, 2023, at Michiana Community Church, 51637 Ash Road, Granger, Indiana, 46530.  On Saturday, October 28, 2023, beginning at 4:00pm there will be a celebration of Brogan’s life at Smith Graphics 317 Capital Avenue, Mishawaka, IN 46544.  A short service will begin at 4:00 pm followed by Brogan’s favorite- a carry in Potluck meal. Meat will be provided, and the family asks that those attending bring a dish to share.  For both events, Brogan’s wish would be for those coming to be dressed in comfortable, casual clothing.  Cruz Family Funeral Home has been entrusted with his care.

Brogan was a Freshman at Penn High School and was hoping to be a Penn Kingsmen Baseball player. He was committed to the Landsharks Baseball travel team for the summer. Brogan enjoyed playing baseball, spending time outdoors fishing, lifting weights and flexing in the mirror.  He could make you laugh with his quick wit and sarcasm.  When he wasn’t playing video games on his X-box, he was making funny TikToks with his friends or playing whiffleball with the neighbors.
