Carol Bohannon, 58, of Cowan, TN and formerly, Osceola, entered heavenly rest after a long battle with cancer, late Sunday evening, June 16, 2024. She was born on March 12, 1966, to the late William Powell and Judy (Campbell) Raymond in Wiesbaden, Germany while her father was stationed there.
Surviving is her husband, John Bohannon of Cowan TN, and her children; Talitha (Lowell Kortas) Ross of Osceola, and Jason (Nisa) Ross of Mishawka. Grandchildren Aiyanna, Chayton, Kaniya, Gavin, Julie, Kylie, Hope, Dalton, and Cameron survive, along with her two sisters Michaela Powell of Goshen and Terry Ann Agapishvili of Laporte, and life-long friend, Jay Ross. She was preceded in death by two sons, Charlie and Rodney.
Carol cherished life's simple pleasures, like basking in the sun and dancing in the rain. Working with landscaping companies, she combined her love for the outdoors with helping her family thrive. Her adventurous spirit led her to ride motorcycles through breathtaking mountains and relax on serene beaches, kayaking across still waters, and bringing the outdoors in during Christmastime with homemade wreathes. A passionate traveler, she visited places like Las Vegas, Mount Rushmore, and the Colorado Rockies. She was a proud member of the Pokagon band of Potawatomi Indians, but above all, Carol’s greatest joy was being “memaw” to her grandchildren, creating cherished memories that would last a lifetime.
A service to celebrate her life is scheduled for Monday, June 24, 2024, at Cruz Family Funeral Home, Osceola where family and friends may visit from Noon – 1pm, before a service at 1pm and burial at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent in her honor to the American Cancer Society. To light a virtual candle, share a story of Carol’s life, or offer words of comfort to her family please visit the Tribute Tab.
