In her spare time, she enjoyed bowling, was an avid reader, and loved making crafts; a passion she passed down to her children. Carol had a unique way of seeing things, which inspired her creativity when knitting, crocheting, or decorating a room. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in South Bend where she sang in the choir for more than 60 years. Carol loved to share her talent for music with others and was always singing or humming a tune. Later, she joined the Bethel Senior Choir and traveled to New York with the choir to perform at Carnegie Hall. Carol was
also was a 50-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star and performed with the Presbyterian Players.
Carol worked for a short time at Sears, but the majority of her time was spent as a homemaker. She was always cheerful and adored her children beyond compare. Often, as she and the children were in the middle of their activities, she would look at them and say, “Who has more fun than we do?” Her giggles and endearing smile will be missed by all who knew her.
