Charlotte Ann Jackson, 86, of Mishawaka, IN., died on Wednesday, Dec. 31, at the St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center. She was born December 30, 1928, in St. Louis, MO., to the late George and Anna (Leicht) Krasnesky, and had lived in northern Indiana since 1968, coming from Baltimore, MD. On Aug. 13, 1946, in Baltimore, she married James P. Sutton. They later divorced in 1951. On June 20, 1968, she married Rolland D. Jackson, who preceded her in death on July 22, 2012. She is also preceded in death by one brother, George Joseph "Buddy" Krasnesky, one sister, Dolores Catherine Zent, and one grand-daughter, Carrie Ann Sutton. Charlotte is survived by one son, James P. (Carolyn) Sutton Jr. of San Diego,CA., one grand-son, Brian C. (Jessica) Sutton of San Marcos, CA., one grand-daughter, Joni (Cory) Anderson of San Diego, CA., and one sister, Theresa Smith of Berlin, MD. Charlotte was a strong, loving mom and wife. She met the love of her life, Rolland, and enjoyed 44 years of marriage. They traveled to 45 countries and every state in the U.S.A. She had a son whom she adored and raised as a single mom. She was an accountant at several car dealerships. Education was very important to her. She enrolled at Indiana University at the age of 64, graduating with an Associate Degree in 1996. Her hobbies included travel, bowling, knitting and ceramics. She faithfully attended her church "Queen of Peace" in Mishawaka. She will be missed by many friends and family. Visitation for Charlotte will be from 4:00 to 7:00 on Wednesday, January 07, 2015 at Zimmerman-Inman Funeral Home in Osceola. Services will be on Thursday, January 8, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Father John Santone from the Queen of Peace Catholic Church presiding. There will be a private burial at Highland Cemetery.
