Chris Neal McMichael, 64, of Osceola entered eternal rest on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at University Hospital, Indianapolis. He was born on October 22, 1959, to the late Larry and Dixie (Day) McMichael and later married Linda Esser on August 15, 2015.
Linda survives, along with their children, Alexis (Will) Dunning of Indianapolis, Andrew Dunning of Bristol, Carol (Brandon) Slabaugh of Bristol, and Erica (Will) Schott of KY; A brother, Jeff (Lorri) McMichael and 9 grandchildren also survive. Surviving as well are his nephew Cameron (Connie) McMichael and his great niece Francheska McMichael.
For almost 30 years, Chris worked in the Michiana area in the plumbing and roofing industries, and later took a position with Plumrose Elkhart, serving in the maintenance department and working in the smokehouse for over 10 years. A versatile worker, he thrived in various roles and had a passion for DIY projects at home. He took pride in grooming Tin Man, a descendant of Secretariat. In his leisure, he found joy in sketching, cheering for Notre Dame Football and the Green Bay Packers. Beyond work, Chris cherished moments spent with his family, including his beloved grandchildren, despite his occasional tardiness to gatherings.
