Christopher E. Marciniak

Christopher Eric Marciniak, age 58 of Mishawaka, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Monday, January 30, 2023. Chris was born March 4, 1964, in South Bend to the late Irvin and Marian Marciniak. On December 29, 2010, he married Kelley Thomas. They recently celebrated their 12th anniversary.

Kelley survives, along with their children Samuel (Melissa) Marlin Jr. of Niles, Michigan and Karissa Henning of Mishawaka. Surviving as well are his granddaughters whom he adored, Bryleigh, Kynslee, and Karlee and his sister Jacqueline Wolfe.  He is also survived by his father-in-law, Russel Thomas, several nieces and nephews and a host of lifelong friends.  He was preceded in death by his siblings William Wolfe and Carolyn DeBruyne, as well as his mother-in-law Karel Thomas.

Visitation will be held from 10am-12 pm Saturday, February 4, 2023, at Cruz Family Funeral Home in Osceola, with funeral services to follow at 12pm.  Chris will be laid to rest following services in Southlawn Cemetery.

Chris was employed for over 18 years in production at Wag N’ Tails mobile conversions in Granger.  He will be remembered as a hard worker and one who gained the respect of his peers through his incredible work ethic and leadership.

In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time at home with his girls, grilling in his backyard, riding his motorcycle and singing karaoke throughout the area.  His kindness, generosity and willingness to help others, his love of jokes and the ability to make others laugh and his wonderful sense of humor will be greatly missed.
