Colleen Ann Willits

Colleen Ann Willits, age 69 of Goshen, passed away May 28, 2017.  Colleen was born June 25, 1947 in Mishawaka.  On Sept. 30, 1978, she married Rick Willits in Mishawaka.  Rick preceded her in death, passing away in 2015.

Surviving are her children Brett (Jennifer) Thompson of Middlebury, Heather (Mitch) Zahno of NY, Wendy (Walter) Steele of TX, Jenn Nissley of South Bend, and Kristy Vanator of Elkhart, her siblings Chuck (Marsha) Hamlin of Osceola, Tom Hamlin of NH, and Sandy (Walter “Bud”) Collins of Elkhart, 10 grandchildren & 4 great-grandchildren.  Preceding her in death was her father Robert Hamlin, her mother and step father William and Helen Thompson, & a brother Ronnie Hamlin.

There will be a celebration of her life at at 2:00 pm Sunday, June 25, 2017 at Cruz Family Funeral Home.

Colleen retired from the Elkhart Clinic after working for many years in housekeeping.  She enjoyed working in her garden, fishing, going to garage sales with her sister Sandy, and visiting friends at the Salvation Army in Goshen. Most of all, she was a devoted wife and mother who cherished time spent with her family and her favorite Schnauzer, Alex.

In her memory, donations may be given to the Center for Hospice.
