Cynthia G. (Niver) Troupe

Cynthia G. ‘Cindy’ Troupe, 52, of South Bend, passed away on the afternoon of Monday, October 18th in the St. Joseph Regional Medical Center of Mishawaka surrounded by her loving family.

Cindy was born in Mishawaka, on April 7, 1969 to Jack and Marilyn (Robinson) Niver. She is survived by her loving children, Ronald “Joe” (Lauren Tipton) Smith III of South Bend, Christopher (Felicity) Smith of Elkhart and Jennifer Smith of South Bend. She was the proud grandmother of 6; Matthew, Landyn, Samantha, Mason, Cayden and Miles. Cindy is also survived by her siblings, Dawn Pressel of Florida, Jackie Niver of Warren, IN, Kevin Niver of South Bend, Stephanie (Adam) Hilton of Ft. Wayne and Brett Niver of South Bend, her step-mother, Janet Niver of Mishawaka, a special ex-daughter-in-law, Amber Cason and her “adopted” sister Dana Morse and nephew Devin Morse of Elkhart.

Cindy loved animals, sewing and helping with craft bizarre, morning coffee with her Aunt Judy, celebrating holidays with her family including her 2 special Aunts Lucy and Judy,  feeding and watching the birds, along with keeping up on Facebook, yet her greatest joy was her family especially her grandchildren.  Cindy cared deeply for her family, Fibro sisters, friends and neighbors.  She had a vibrant personality and always made people around her laugh.  Memorial contributions may be made in Cindy’s name to the Elkhart County Feral Cat Coalition at their website, https://elkhartferalcats.org or any Pet Refuge of your choice.

As per Cindy’s wishes cremation is to take place. A Memorial Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 7th in the Osceola, United Methodist Church, 431 N. Beech Rd., Osceola, IN 46561, from 2:00pm until 4:00pm. The Cruz Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services is assisting the family with arrangements.
