Danae Marie Evans-Rudge

Danae Marie Evans-Rudge, age 29, passed away unexpectedly on the morning of Friday, September 18, 2020 at her home in Walkerton.  Danae was born February 2, 1991 in South Bend, Indiana.  She was a 2010 graduate of Penn High School and was employed for several years in retail sales.  On September 14, 2019, she married Matthew Rudge.

She is survived by her husband Matthew of Walkerton, and her children Aubrie Dawn Streeter and Elijah Stephen Runnels, her mother Julie Evans of Mishawaka, and her siblings Ryan (fiancé Ally Page) Evans, Noah Hurlbut, and Zac Cornelius. Surviving as well are her grandparents Patti White and Dennis (Lois) Evans, her great-great grandfather Edward Evans,  her uncle Jason (Katrina) Evans and her special cousins Jonathon Dycus, Jason II, Christopher and Rebekah Evans and her best friend since third grade, Neomi Middleton.  Surviving as well is Tony Hurlbut of Mishawaka, her father-figure for much of her life, several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.  She was preceded in death by her “Papa” Larry White, and her great grandmothers Dola Evans, Barbara Rink.

Visitation will be held from 2-6 pm Saturday, September 26, 2020 at Cruz Family Funeral Home in Osceola, with funeral services following at 6 pm.  Interment will be held privately at a later date.

Danae always had a big smile on her face and loved listening to music both out riding around to nowhere or while doing her makeup.  She and her daughter Aubrie loved making videos for Tik-Tok and she loved her children dearly. She was a loving mother, daughter and friend.

Most of all, her heart for others will be missed tremendously.  She loved her family dearly, and always did her best to help others whenever possible.  Danae fought valiantly and overcame her addiction and had planned to go back to school to become a recovery counselor in order to help others.
