Dan was employed with Babcock and Wilcox and then spent over 40 years working at Elkhart Hinge. They had a machine in the factory that they called “Danny’s Machine.” He spent many years volunteering his time as a referee for high school basketball and as an umpire for the South Bend, Mishawaka and Elkhart City Leagues. He loved sports, especially I.U. and the Chicago White Sox, and enjoyed listening to the music of George Jones. More than anything, Danny loved his family and his church.
Because of his love for animals, the Plummer family asks that donations be made in Dan’s memory to the Elkhart Humane Society. The Plummer family would also like to extend a special thank you to Laura from the Center for Hospice, Dr. Jeff Howe, and Steve Holbert for the care and concern given to their family during Danny’s illness.
