David Allen Gill

David Allen Gill, age 46 of Mishawaka, passed away at Memorial Hospital on Monday, October 5, 2020.  David was born July 27, 1974 in South Bend, Indiana.  He attended Mishawaka High School and was employed for many years as a carpenter throughout the Michiana area.

Surviving are his children Jeremy Hall, Jazmyne Gill, Bethani Gill, Hannah Gill, and Cameron Gill and 7 grandchildren. Also surviving is his father, Dwayne Gill and his siblings Roxanne (Grady) Woods, Michael (Shannon) Yeakey, Crystal (Bobby) Stremme and Melissa (Corey) Woods.  David is also survived by Kassandra Kidman, the mother of his deceased son Westley Kidman-Gill.  He was preceded in death by his mother Mary Riley and his infant brother Jeston Riley.

Visitation will be held 2 hours prior to the 6:00 pm funeral service on Friday, October 9, 2020 at Cruz Family Funeral Home in Osceola.  David will have a private burial at a later time in Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka.

In his spare time, David was an avid fan of Notre Dame football, and enjoyed going to stock car and drag races with his family and friends. He had many friends and was very social.  Often at gatherings at his home, he would be found behind the grill using his talent for cooking to feed his friends and family.  He also was a very hard worker and will be remembered by many as a “go to” guy who would volunteer his time and skills to fix things around other people’s homes without expecting anything in return.
