Devonna “Dee” Wiseman, 86, of Mishawaka, entered heavenly rest on Thursday, April 10, 2025. She was born March 1, 1939, to the late DeVaughn and Iva (Zenhar) Welsh in Tyner, IN. In 1957, she married Earl Griggs, and later in 1999, she married Norman “Norm” Wiseman, who preceded her in death in 2022. Throughout her life, Dee was grateful for the love and companionship she shared in both marriages, each leaving a special imprint on her heart.

Surviving are her children, Bob Griggs of Osceola, and Michael “Mike” (Kimberlee) Griggs of Goshen, siblings, Ellen Marie (Gene) Wilkeson of South Bend and Kenneth (Zinita) Welsh of Mishawaka, 5 grandchildren, Matthew, Jessie, Josh, Michael and Zach Griggs, and many great-grandchildren. Surviving as well is her daughter-in-law, Sandy Griggs of Osceola. Dee was preceded in death by her parents and husband, a son, Kenny Griggs, and siblings, Charlotte Holderread and Dewayne Welsh.

Dee was a devoted member of Cedar Road Missionary Church, where she not only attended, but served as a passionate prayer warrior. She was known for her immaculate home and for her generous heart, always willing to help anyone in need. Whether traveling with family to cheer at sporting events or simply enjoying time with those she loved, Dee’s life was centered around two unwavering priorities: her faith and her family. Her presence brought comfort and joy to those around her, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A private graveside service for Dee’s family will be held at Fairview Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to gather 1 hour prior to the 3:00 pm Celebration of Life at Cruz Family Funeral Home in Osceola on Monday, April 21, 2025. Her grandson, Pastor Michael Griggs, will have the privilege of leading the service in honor of his grandmother — a moment that would have filled Dee’s heart with joy and pride.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Cedar Road Missionary Church in Dee’s honor. To light a virtual candle, share a story of Dee, or offer a message of comfort to her family, please visit the Guestbook.
