Denyse Dabrowiak

Denyse (Goff) Dabrowiak, 89, entered heavenly rest, Monday morning, March 3, 2025, with her children by her side. She was born Nov. 24, 1935, in South Bend, to the late Asa and Bessie (Jordan) Goff and later married Ralph J. Dabrowiak, who also preceded her in death on Sept. 19, 2023.

Surviving are their children, Lucy (Mark) Dale of South Bend, Julie Driggers of Granger, and Danielle (Mark) Fries of South Bend, and three grandchildren, Elizabeth Driggers of Indianapolis, Joey Driggers of South Bend, and Ethan Dale at home.

Denyse dedicated many years as a receptionist at Oliver’s Manufacturing, but her greatest fulfillment came from using her talents in sewing and knitting to serve others. She was deeply involved in ministry efforts throughout the Mishawaka and South Bend areas, especially with Busy Hands, where she lovingly crafted mittens, hats, and other handmade gifts for those in need. Beyond her professional and charitable work, Denyse found joy tending to her garden alongside Ralph, canning the fruits of their labor to share with family and friends. A woman of strong faith, she was a proud and devoted member of the choirs at St. Jude and Queen of Peace parishes. Above all, Denyse cherished the time spent with her loved ones, always offering warmth, kindness, and generosity to those around her.

A time to celebrate her life is scheduled for Thursday, March 6, 2025, from 10-11 am at Christ the King Catholic Church with a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 11am. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, next to Ralph.
