Doris was employed for over 35 years as a bank teller throughout the Michiana area with First Source Bank where she was a founding member of the “Women’s Club” through the bank. Doris was due to be honored in May of 2023 as the last original member of the club. After her retirement, Doris worked part time at the University of Notre Dame where she helped count money from ticket sales and concessions following sporting events, and continued to help at First Source Bank wherever she was needed.
In her spare time, she loved going out to eat at different restaurants in the area, shopping and going on shopping trips out of state with her sister Kate.
Most of all, Doris loved being a mother to her children. They loved her sense of humor and wonderful laugh. She enjoyed spending the holidays with her daughter Cindy in Michigan and made sure that Terry always had a special care package delivered regularly as he worked and traveled throughout the United States.
