Dorothy J. O'Lena

Dorothy J. O'Lena of Osceola passed away in the presence of family December 2, 2016, in Bradenton, Florida. She was born in St. Joseph County, Indiana, on November 10, 1935. In 1953 she graduated from Mishawaka High School. On June 19, 1971, she married Donald W. O'Lena in Mishawaka. Dorothy retired from Dodge Manufacturing in 1996 after 33 years of service.

She is survived by her husband, Donald, children, Kenneth H. (Judy) Connon of Wisconsin, Dianne M. (George) Bryant of Tennessee and John A. (Kelly) Connon of Mishawaka, stepchildren, Ronald W. (Barbara) O'Lena of Alaska, Diane M. Catanzarite of Mishawaka, Randall E. (Lisa) O'Lena of Elkhart and Gerald A. (Diana) O'Lena of Mishawaka, grandchildren, Courtney Connon, Lindsay Connon, Sarah Connon, Natale DeHart, Ashton Connon, Kasey Connon, Gabriel (Megan) O'Lena, Jacob O'Lena, Nathaniel O'Lena, Joshua O'Lena, Tyler Reamer, Madison O'Lena, Zachary O'Lena, Andrew O'Lena, Emily O'Lena, great-grandchildren, Merik DeHart and Paxton DeHart.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert C. and Theresa M.(Kolle) Young, brothers, Charles H. Young, and Richard Young, and sister, Barbara Thompson, two granddaughters, Jamie Bryant and Rosemarie O'Lena.

There will be one hour of visitation prior to the 1:00pm Memorial Service on May 5, 2017 at Cruz Family Funeral Home, 1109 Lincolnway West, Osceola, Indiana.

Dorothy and Don spent winters in Arizona and Florida. Summer weekends they loved fishing, swimming and partying with friends at Lakeside Campground in Plymouth.
