Edwin Hamilton Quinn, age 71 of Osceola, passed away at his home on Thursday, August 29, 2019. Ed was born March 30, 1948 in Birmingham, Alabama to the late Edward V. and Lucille Quinn. Ed served honorably as a combat engineer in the US Army during the Vietnam War where he was awarded the National Service Medal the Vietnam Service Medal with one bronze star, and a Purple Heart. After his honorable discharge, he married Johanna F. Reasonover on February 12, 1969 in Jefferson County, Alabama.
Johanna survives, along with their children Johanna E. (Joey Lai) Quinn of Osceola, John (Beth) Reasonover of South Bend, Christina (Mark Yaw) Reasonover of Portland, Oregon, and Albert (Carmen) Reasonover of Las Vegas, Nevada and Osceola, Indiana. Also surviving are his siblings Rena Brannon, Denise, Frank, and Lucille Lynn, as well as his grandchildren Larry (Brandi Bowman) Chipps, Brandon Reasonover, Amanda (Michael) Reasonover-Wade, Trevor Reasonover, Christopher Reasonover, Courtney (Brian) Johnson and Kristen Reasonover. Also surviving are his great grandchildren Caybrielle, Jace, Ava, Andre and Maddox. His grandson Troy Reasonover preceded him in death.
Visitation was held privately, and cremation will take place before Ed is laid to rest in Marion National Cemetery, Marion, Indiana. Cruz Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service has been entrusted with his care.
Ed was employed at AM General for many years before his retirement. After retirement he became self-employed selling cars and traveling the US with various County Fairs where he helped the staff with organization and mentored the workers. In his younger years, Ed was a silversmith and enjoyed creating unique pieces of jewelry for his family and friends. He loved spending time on the water in his boat and will be remembered by his family as a great storyteller.
