OSCEOLA- Elizabeth L. (Nagy) Jankowski, 93, of Osceola passed away at 3:35 p.m. Saturday March 29, 2014 at her home. She was born April 28, 1920 in Elkhart to Laszlo & Rose (Foley) Nagy.
On September 25, 1948 in Elkhart she married Frank E. Jankowski. He survives along with 2 children, Rosanne (Michael) Misener of Elkhart, Larry D. Jankowski of Osceola; a grandson, Cole (Amber) Cooper of Elkhart and 2 great-grandchildren, Brianna & Lillian Cooper. She was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Margaret Loucks and Rosalie Kershner and a brother, John Nagy.
Elizabeth was a charter member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church and an active member of the Woodmen of the World. She was formerly employed at Dumor Chair Company in Elkhart and was most recently a homemaker. She loved working in her garden and canning the harvest from the garden.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 3-8 p.m. Tuesday at Zimmerman-Inman Funeral Home in Osceola. At 7:30 p.m. Tuesday a parish rosary will be recited at the funeral home. Additional visitation will from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at Queen of Peace Catholic Church. A mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday April 2, 2014 at the church. Fr. John Eze will preside and burial will follow in St. Vincent Cemetery in Elkhart.
