September 15, 1948 — January 26, 2022

Mishawaka

Faye Robinson Sullivan, age 73 of Mishawaka, entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ shortly after midnight on Wednesday, January 26, 2022. She was born September 15, 1948, in Pontiac, Michigan to the late Arthur “Red” and Nell Grace (Music) Robinson.  Faye was a graduate of Penn High School, class of 1966. She then attended Gulf Coast Bible College and later graduated from Vogue Beauty College.  On July 24, 1971, she married Robert F. Sullivan at the First Church of God in Mishawaka.  Bob and Faye recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with family and friends in their home before taking a trip to Hawaii to celebrate and spend time together.

She is survived by her husband, Robert F. Sullivan of Mishawaka and their 3 children: Bob (Stacy) Sullivan, Gabrielle (Blair) Vandenburg, and Chris (Natalie) Sullivan.  Surviving as well are their eight grandchildren whom Faye loved dearly Sydney, Lexi, Grace, Brayden, Blake, Noah, Ivy, and Keegan.

Faye was employed at Vogue Beauty College in Mishawaka and later became an instructor at the school, passing her love of cosmetology on to many students over the years. She worked many years at National Institute for Trial Advocacy at Notre Dame. Later, she accepted a position within the PHM School system serving in the offices of the ESC, Schmucker Middle School and her alma mater, Penn High School before her retirement in 2004.

Faye was famous throughout the greater Michiana area for hosting tea parties, at His Majesty’s Victorian Tea Room, in the former Eberhardt Mansion downtown Mishawaka that she and Bob restored and made their home. After their home was finished, Mishawaka’s Mayor Dave Wood appointed Faye to the Historic Preservation Commission.

In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling around the world with Bob, singing, sewing, and making delicious sweets and savories for her family and friends.  She also served her community with the Mishawaka Tri Kappa Philanthropic Sorority for over 26 years.
