Fidencio Rodriguez

Fidencio Rodriguez, 93, of Mishawaka, passed away Sunday, August 7, 2022, at Fountainview
Care Center.
Fidencio was born November 16, 1928 in Arandas Jal Mexico to the late Ramon and Maria
Guadalupe (Ramirez) Rodriguez. He married Maria Rebeca Gallegos on November 16, 1950.
Fidencio had a life-long passion for music. His career was playing in Mariachi Bands. He loved
singing and played multiple instruments. Fidencio was also a songwriter as well as a music
teacher. He loved his family dearly and particularly enjoyed being a grandpa.
Fidencio’s surviving family includes his wife of nearly 72 years, Maria Rebeca; twelve
children, Aurelio Rodriguez, Jose Rodriguez, Maria Rodriguez, Lino Rodriguez, Alfonso
Rodriguez, Irma Rodriguez, Roberto Rodriguez, Jesus Rodriguez, Irene Rodriguez, Blanca E.
Rodriguez, Rebeca Rodriguez and Evelia Sparks; one sister, Genoveva; two brothers, Gabriel
and Hipolito; numerous grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 11 am to 1 pm Friday, August 12, at Cruz Family Funeral Home in
Osceola.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2 pm Friday, August 12, at Our Lady of Hungary
Catholic Church in South Bend. Cremation will follow with burial at a later date in Mexico.
