Gaye Lynne Kruggel, age 77 of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, went to be with the Lord on March 20, 2024. Gaye Lynne was born March 17, 1947, in South Bend, Indiana to the late Donald and Edna (Keller) Morros. On August 30, 1968, she married William Otto Kruggel in South Bend, Indiana.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, William Kruggel of Palm Beach, Florida, along with her sons Jeffrey (Angie) Kruggel of New Port Richie, Florida and Todd (Joe Kebschull) Kruggel of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, her grandchildren Nicholas (Carol) Kruggel of Elkhart, Indiana and Jamie Kruggel of New Port Richie, Florida. Surviving as well are her siblings, Dennis (Ellie) Morros of Morocco, Indiana, Susan (Tim) Stromatt of Mishawaka, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Ronald Morros.
Visitation will be held 2 hours prior to the 12:00 pm funeral service on Thursday, April 11, 2024, at Immanuel United Methodist Church, 1211 W Ewing Ave, South Bend, IN 46613, with interment to follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Cruz Family Funeral Home of Osceola, Indiana has been entrusted with her care.
As a dedicated homemaker, she poured her heart into creating a loving and caring home for her family. Her love and support were the foundation upon which her family flourished. She also dedicated four years of her life as a lunchroom attendant at Edison School, where she touched the lives of countless children with her kindness and compassion.
One of Gaye's greatest passions was gardening, and she found joy in the nostalgic music of the 1950’s. Above all, Gaye treasured her role as a grandmother. She cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren with boundless love and pride, creating memories that will be treasured forever.
Gaye will be remembered for her kind heart, her gentle spirit, and her willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Her legacy of love and compassion will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her.
