Glenn William Gray, age 73 of Elkhart, went to be with his Lord and Savior on March 17, 2023. Following his high school graduation, Glenn enlisted in the US Navy where he served with Attack Squadron 105. On April 11, 1981, Glenn married the former Miss Vickie Buchanan in Mountain View, California. They would have celebrated their 42nd anniversary in April. Glenn later felt the Lord’s call to ministry on his life and he enrolled at Bethel College where he graduated with a bachelors degree in theology in 1996.
He is survived by his wife Vickie Gray of Elkhart and their children Sharyl (Jason) Coulter of Goshen, Jayson Gray of Kingman, Arizona, and Stephen Gray of Elkhart. Surviving as well are his grandchildren Daisy, Lily, Ivy and Sage, along with his sister Joan Gray of Washington, D.C. he was preceded in death by his siblings Gerry, Johnny, Richard and Judy Gray.
A celebration of life (the party Glenn asked for) will be held on April 16, 2023 at 6pm at Victory Chapel General Baptist Church 30898 County Rd 20, Elkhart, IN 46517. His family asks that you remember him in your own special way. Cruz Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Osceola has been entrusted with his care.
Glenn was most recently employed as an area manager serving as a merchandising specialist in Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio. In his spare time, he enjoyed spoiling his dog, watching IRL and Formula One racing, Notre Dame Football, and making up funny stories to tell about his favorite characters, Buzz Lightyear and Frosty the Snowman.
Most of all, Glenn was a man of faith who loved God and his family. When he was in a group of family and friends, there was never a dull moment. His great sense of humor and the ability to make others laugh will be greatly missed.
