Jack E. Zorn

Jack E. Zorn, age 87, passed away at his home in Elkhart on January 12, 2017. Jack was born Sept. 8, 1929 in Warsaw, Indiana to the late John and Myrtle (Wolfe) Zorn. Jack later enlisted in the US Navy, serving honorably until his discharge in July of 1948. On Jan. 14, 1951, he married Sue Fuller in Point Isabel, Indiana. They would have celebrated 66 years of marriage this year.
Sue survives, along with their children Dan (Ubon) Zorn and Tammy (fiancé Chris Evans) both of Elkhart, and 3 grandchildren; Davahn (Bruce) Killion, Rachanee (Zach) Teipen, & Danielle (Mark) Wyman. Also surviving is his brother Chet Zorn of Pierceton, Indiana and his great grandchildren Ethan and Logan Killion. Jack was preceded in death by his son Larry Zorn in 2010 and his siblings Wilma and Georgie Zorn.
Visitation will be held from 2-6 pm Sunday, Jan. 15, 2017 at Zimmerman-Inman Funeral Home in Osceola. There will also be one hour of visitation prior to the 11:00 am funeral service on Monday, Jan. 16, 2017 at California Road Missionary Church, 29765 County Road 12, Elkhart, Indiana 46514 with Pastor Bud Walterhouse presiding. Interment will follow in Olive Cemetery, Elkhart.
Jack was employed for many years as the co-owner and President of Three Star Electric in Mishawaka, retiring at the age of 70. He was also a 50 year member of the Osceola Masonic Lodge, and served on Osceola’s Town Board for several years in the 1960’s. Jack also served the town of Osceola as a volunteer firefighter and enjoyed driving the horse and buggy during Osceola’s Centennial Parade.
In his memory, donations may be given to the California Road Missionary Church where Jack attended services for many years.
