Jacquelyn Jo Evans

Jacquelyn Jo Evans, age 82, passed away peacefully at her home in Osceola on Monday, April 21, 2025. Jacquelyn was born on January 26, 1943, in South Bend, Indiana. On December 2, 1961, Jacquelyn married Charles W. “Chuck” Evans. He preceded her in death on March 20, 2023.

She graduated from Mishawaka High School and went on to build a long, dedicated career in retail management. Over the years, she managed the Mishawaka Kmart, Charlie’s Phillips 66 in Osceola, and later managed the Osceola Casey’s General Store before her retirement. She was known for her strong work ethic and the way she always put her family first, loving them immensely.

Jacquelyn was a member of Osceola United Methodist Church, where she built lasting friendships throughout the years. In her free time, Jacquelyn loved watching NASCAR races and old westerns on TV. She had a soft spot for the color purple and a sweet tooth for anything cherry-flavored. She enjoyed trips to the casino, going out to eat, and spending time with the people she cared about most.

Jacquelyn is survived by her son, Sean Evans of Osceola. She was preceded in death by her father, Herb Evans, and her mother, Maxine Henry.

In keeping with her wishes, there will be no formal services. Cruz Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Osceola has been entrusted with her care.
