James D. Waire

James D. Waire, 63, of Mishawaka passed away on Sunday, February 4, 2024, at Memorial Hospital surrounded by his family. He was born on April 26, 1960, in Michigan City to the late Robert and Willie Jean (Watson) Waire and married his middle school sweetheart Diane Dobkins on August 7, 1978.

She survives along with their five daughters Heather Waire of Tampa, Fl, Crystal (Ricky Rhoades) and Elizabeth (Ronald Fisher) Waire of Mishawaka, Jennifer (Josh Armstrong) Waire of South Bend, and Heidi Waire of Michigan. Surviving also are 15 grandchildren, Anthony (Rayne) and Kaden Klemczewski, Aiden and Gracie Fisher, Ciara Hummer, Dominic, Hazel, and Abigail Armstrong, Katlynn, Lexi, Preston, Annabelle Waire, and Silas and Sophie Rhoades, with an adopted granddaughter, Autumn Riddle and 2 brothers, Bobby and Jimmy Waire.

James loved to fish and go on treasure hunts on his scooter, seeming to always bring back flowers or some other “treasure” home to share with his family. He loved to go to parties, eat McDonalds, smoke, and listen to classic rock ‘n roll music. Most of all, James loved spending quality time with his family and friends.

A time to visit with his family is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 10, 2024, from 1-3 pm with a service at 3pm at Cruz Family Funeral Home in Osceola. Pastor John Kaehr will officiate. Cremation will take place following the service.
