Jane Ellen (Lenczowski) Andresen

Jane Ellen Andresen, age 62 of Mishawaka, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday, August 5, 2020.  Jane was born February 2, 1958 in South Bend, Indiana to the late Stanley and Marilyn (Murphy) Lenczowski.

Surviving is her son Eric Andresen and his fiancée Desiree Brockie of Mishawaka.  Also surviving is her significant other, her longtime love, Scott West of Mishawaka.  Jane is also survived by her grandchildren Logan and Hayden, and her best friend whom she considered a sister, Gail Thompson of Osceola.  She was preceded in death by her sister Jill Lenczowski in 1979.

There will be a celebration of Jane’s life at a later time.  Cruz Family Funeral Home in Osceola is assisting with the arrangements.

Jane earned her Master’s Degree in nursing and worked for over 42 years caring for patients in the Michiana area.  Her most recent employment was with AuNOVA Home Health Care of Granger.  Until the day before her diagnosis, Jane continued to work with home health care patients to make sure their needs were met.

When she wasn’t working, Jane enjoyed knitting, baking, feeding the birds and spoiling her dogs.  She loved to travel and visited Maui in Hawaii frequently.  Always remembered as a “people person,” her caring and generous nature will be greatly missed.  She was described by her family and friends as an Angel on Earth.

Since Jane loved donating to so many different charities, the family asks that a donation be made to the charity of the donor’s choice in her memory.  The family would also like to thank the staff of Heart to Heart Hospice for their exceptional care.
