Jeanita Cadoret, 88, passed peacefully Wednesday afternoon surrounded by family at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, South Bend.
Mrs. Cadoret was born March 13, 1935 in Cocagna, New Brunswick, Canada to Arthur and Eva (Goguen) Hebert, where she was one of thirteen children. She later married Joseph E. Cadoret and had four children.
Surviving is her daughter Nancy (Michael) Tinny of South Bend and 2 sons, Michael Cadoret of Denver, CO and James (Michelle) Cadoret of Monroeville, IN. Also surviving are 11 granchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a daughter Joann Cadoret.
Jeanita found her place in serving others and volunteering at her church’s thrift shop, The Shepherd’s Center for several years. She used her passion as a clothier from previous work at Newman’s to help those that came to the Shepherd’s Center to show people how much she cared. Jeanita was a member of St. Therese Little Flower Catholic Church in South Bend and St.Ignatius of Antioch Roman Catholic Church in Tarpen Springs, FL where they lived for a number of years.
A private family mass is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. on Monday, August 7, 2023 at St. Therese Little Flower Catholic Church with a graveside burial of cremated remains to follow immediately after the Funeral Mass at Highland Cemetery.
