Jessica Elaine Steinke

Jessica Elaine Steinke, age 32 of Middlebury, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly at Elkhart General Hospital on Monday, January 31, 2022.  Jessica was born January 24, 1990, in South Bend, Indiana to Thomas and Michelle (Fletcher) Steinke.

She is survived by her parents Tom and Michelle Steinke of Middlebury, her brother Brandon Steinke and his fiancé Crystal Bammerlin, a niece and five nephews.  Surviving as well are her maternal grandparents William Fletcher and Peggy Harkless of Elkhart and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parental grandparents Terry and Janice Steinke.

A celebration of her life will be held from 2-6pm on Saturday, February 19, 2022, at the DAV Chapter 19, 1205 Middleton Run Rd, Elkhart, Indiana 46516.  Cruz Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Osceola is assisting with the arrangements.

Jessie loved watching WWE Wrestling and was a huge fan of John Cena and Dolph Ziegler. She was also an avid fan of country music, both classic and modern artists and the King of Rock n’ Roll, Elvis Presley.  She loved to dance and sing and often loved to sing to the crowds at karaoke nights throughout the area.  Jessie also enjoyed gambling at the local casinos and playing the pull tabs at the American Legion.

Most of all, Jessie was loved immensely by her family, and she loved them just as much, or more as they loved her.  Sleepovers with her cousins was one of her favorite activities and Jessie looked forward to “Girls Day Out” with her favorite cousin Betty Jo.
