Joann Lucille Ransberger

JoAnn Lucille Ransberger, age 87, of Osceola passed away Saturday afternoon December 31, 2022, in her home. JoAnn was born November 20, 1935, in South Bend, a daughter of the late Matthew and Ruth (Landaw) Mazurkiewicz. She grew up in Osceola, Indiana.

JoAnn is survived by her children, Chris Allen, Dennis Ransberger, Jenny Waugh, Donald Ransberger, Marilyn Hardee; sisters, Helen Dudeck, Doris Lehman, Clara Stickles, brothers, Matthew and John Mazurkiewicz. Twelve grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Donald Ransberger Sr, her son Scott A. Ransberger, her granddaughter, Lindsey Hardee, sisters, Mary Geist, Kate Bessinger, Loretta Marshall, brother, Bill Mazurkiewicz.

JoAnn had unconditional love for all her family, and her greatest joy was spending time with them and the many family gathers. She had a strong faith in God and the Catholic Church that helped carry her through the difficult times in her life. Her favorite past time was watching Heartland every evening.

The family would like to thank the Center Hospice for their support and help during this difficult time.

A memorial for JoAnn will be held at a later date which is yet to be determined.
