OSCEOLA- Joann Reed, 81, of Osceola, passed away on Sunday January 31, 2016 at her home. She was born May 20, 1934 in Manchester, TN to Andrew Jackson Smithson, Sr. and Edna Clarrine Tippett. On November 11, 1950 in Manchester, TN she married Bobby F. Reed. He survives along with a son, Robert Mitchell (Patricia) Reed of Elkhart; a daughter Angelia F. Reed of Osceola; four grandchildren, Eric Allen (DeAnna) Reed of Manchester, TN, Teresa Jean (Stephanie) Reed of Murphysboro, TN, Joshua Tyler (Angela) Reed of Bristol, IN, Jan Randall Barrentine, Jr., of Elkhart, IN and six great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Iris Marie Alford of Martinsville, IL and Jewel Dean St. John of Manchester, TN. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Rodney Dwight Reed, five sisters and two brothers. Joann was a proud grandmother and she enjoyed collecting antiques and glass ware. She was previously employed at Nylon craft in Mishawaka and was most recently a homemaker. Visitation for family and friends will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Zimmerman-Inman Funeral Home in Osceola. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday February 5, 2016 at Olive Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the family.
