He loved watching movies and was a fan of both Star Wars and Star Trek. Many Sunday afternoons were spent watching a Sci-Fi movie at the theater. In his leisure time, John could be found surfing the internet and interacting with his friends through his Facebook page. He and his family enjoyed spending time camping at Spaulding Campgrounds in Niles and more recently at Eby’s Pines in Bristol. He was also very fond of his Ford Mustang, and in his younger years, enjoyed racing.
Most of all, John enjoyed being with his family. He was excited to teach his grandson Zachary to shoot a bow and arrow and a rifle and was planning to take his entire family to the gun range before his illness.
