Jonathan David Kish

January 12, 1957 — December 26, 2022

Osceola

Jonathan D. Kish, age 65, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Osceola on Monday, December 26, 2022.  Jon was born January 12, 1957, in South Bend, to Ernest J. and Yvonne V. (Suth) Kish. Following graduation from St. Joe High School, Jon studied and became an apprentice in the Tool and Die industry where he excelled in his career with Hoosier Spring until his retirement at the age of 62.  On June 16, 1979, he married Pamela L. Cooper in South Bend.  They recently celebrated their 43rd anniversary.

Pam survives along with their son Benjamin (Brittany) Kish of Indianapolis, Indiana, his mother Yvonne Kish of Osceola, his “bonus daughter” Nicole Jenks, and his dogs Lexie, Abby, Teddy and Grace.  Surviving as well are his siblings Ernie (Linda) Kish, his twin sister Rebecca Hazelton, Pamela A. Kish, Timothy (Cindy) Kish, Beth Ann (Gary) Moore, and Stephen (Connie) Kish, along with numerous nieces and nephews.  His father Ernest and his favorite dogs, Zoie and Sasha preceded him in death.

There will be no visitation or services.  Cruz Family Funeral Home is assisting with the arrangements.

Jonathan was meticulous in his work and made sure each spring he built was in perfect specification for its requirements.  He loved to watch Notre Dame Football and kept score for several hockey teams in his younger years. He enjoyed spending time on family vacations as well, especially to Toronto, Canada.

His big heart, magnetic personality, and great sense of humor will never be forgotten.  He was kind, generous, and loved to help others.  He and Nicole used to have a running joke about who could prank one another and then laugh as they would say “Gotcha LAST!!”
