Jorg "Otto" Felisch

Jorg “Otto” Felisch, age 63 of South Bend, passed away September 13, 2020 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Mishawaka.  Jorg was born May 4, 1957 in Dortmund, Germany and immigrated to the United States as a young boy.  He was employed for many years as a cook with Maxi’s Food and Spirit Barn in South Bend.

Surviving is his mother Irma Felisch of South Bend, his children Joey and Jessica Orjasaeter, Amilou Reed, Lindsay Powell and Bobbijane Felisch. Surviving as well are 6 grandchildren and his sister Mona Felisch of South Bend.  He was preceded in death by his father Gunther Felisch and his brother Frank Felisch.

There will be a celebration of Jorg’s life at a later date.  Cruz Family Funeral Home is assisting with the arrangements.

Otto enjoyed sports, especially NASCAR and football, and he loved to jam on his guitar and his harmonica when he had time.  He also loved cars and in his younger years, he traveled extensively designing and setting up storefronts across the US.  Most of all, Jorg will be remembered as a hard worker who enjoyed not only loved his family and friends, but the many customers he came to know on a regular basis over the years spent at Maxi’s.
