Joyce Lynn Kelly, 75, of Elkhart, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, in South Bend. She was born on May 12, 1949, to the later Haskell Warman and Betty (Tucker) Rucker in Cabin Creek, WV and later married Clair Kelly in Elkhart on January 12, 1995.
Clair survives along with their children, Joseph (Kim) Warman of Elkhart, Jeremy Warman of Indianapolis, Clair “Gene” (April) Kelly, Jr. of Elkhart and Kevin Kelly of Constantine, MI. Grandchildren Tyler (Jennifer) Warman, Daniel (Amanda) Bolton, Drew Bolton, Brandon (Elizabeth) Kelly, Kayla Johnson, Destany, Hanna, Hunter, and Dakota Kelly, along with Joyce’s siblings, Stephanie Young of Ashland, KY and Marty Hill of AZ also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers, Joe “Butch” and Stephen Warman.
Joyce was a vibrant individual who brought joy and warmth to everyone she encountered. A devoted member of the Elkhart Church of God, she found comfort in her faith community. Joyce had a passion for crafts and sewing, often spending hours creating beautiful, handmade items. Her love for classical country music filled her home with melodies that mirrored her spirited personality. Joyce was known for her deep connections with family and friends, always staying in touch through Facebook or cherished in-person visits. A true "people person," she never missed a birthday or anniversary, always making others feel special. Her outspoken, fun-loving nature left a lasting impression on everyone she met, making her a beloved figure in her community.
Per the family’s wishes, cremation has taken place with a time to celebrate a life wonderfully lived June 29, 2024 from 12:00 to 3:00 pm with a service starting at 12:30. Pastor Delbert Ritchie will be officiating the service at Word of Life Fellowship Church, 27696 Willard Rd, Elkhart IN 46514.
