Judith Ann Noens, age 76 of Mishawaka, went to be with the Lord on January 15, 2023. She was born February 16, 1946, to the late Paul and Elizabeth (Gyarmati) Noens. As a young lady, Judy worked for her parents at Noens’ Supermarket and Noens Evergreen Nursery before taking a position in assembly at the Duracool factory where she worked for many years until her retirement at the age of 62.
She is survived by her brothers Leonard J. Noens of Granger and Larry Noens of Osceola, along with her nieces and nephews Ramon Noens, Tracy (Steve) Plummer, Leonard (Jeri) Noens and Kim (Kevin) Gundy. Surviving as well are her great nieces and nephews Caleb Paul Noens. Shantell Plummer, Stephen Plummer, Challen Plummer, Ryann (Justin) MicolaVonFuerstenrecht, Emily Noens, Penny (Mike) Lambdin, Nicole (J.J.) Short and Marcie Gundy, along with her great-great nieces and nephews Grayce Plummer, Ian Cooper, Josephine Plummer, Oliver Plummer, Jordan Noens, Caleb MicolaVonFuerstenrecht, Leighton Kay Buss, Avia Lambdin and Logan Lambdin.
She embraced spending time outdoors and working in her garden. She enjoyed sewing, baking and canning, especially with her mom. She was also a longtime member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Mishawaka.
There will be a visitation Thursday January 19, from 5-7 PM, at Cruz Family Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am Friday, January 20, 2023, at Queen of Peace Catholic Church. Judy will be laid to rest beside her parents following the funeral mass at Fairview Cemetery in Mishawaka.
