Kathleen Turley-Cheatham, 62, of Mishawaka entered heavenly rest on Monday, January 8, 2024.
Kathy, as she was known to her family and friends, was born in Portage to the late William Herman and Winifred Margaret (Curley) Turley, and married Lonnie Wayne Cheatham on February 14, 1993, who preceded her in death.
She is survived by her three children: Harmoni (Josh McDonald) Turley, Nikki Cheatham, and Lonnie (Kandice Turcynski, Kymberely Bare) Cheatham, all of Mishawaka, three step-children: Samantha Cheatham of Kouts, IN, Aaron (Shawna) Vaughn of Lakestation, and Shiloh Williams of Alabama; five grandchildren, Nick and Kayla Mcdonald, Mariah and Makenzi Cheatham, Isaiah Singleton, and Lexus Shuppert, and a sister Michelle Turley of South Bend all survive.
Kathy’s life revolved around her kids and grandkids, spending time with them and loving them as much as she was able. Kathy was always “selfless, kind, and sweet as pie.” She loved Jesus and taught her kids to do the same. She never complained and always gracefully took whatever life threw at her. Kathy enjoyed spending time at the beach, never knew a stranger and loved drawing and listening to whatever music was playing. She was a constant rock for her family and will be greatly missed.
Cremation has taken place, but a time to visit with family and friends and celebrate a beautiful life is scheduled for Saturday, February 3, 2024, at South Side General Baptist Church in Mishawaka, 1615 S Spring St, Mishawaka, IN 46544, from 3-5p with a prayer service concluding the time from 5-5:30.
