Katie was employed as a hairdresser, but her true passion was caring for animals, especially dogs. Her compassion for pets led to her becoming a full-time groomer at the Grooming Shop in Edwardsburg, Michigan where she worked for the last several years.
In her spare time, she enjoyed remodeling her home and changing the interior design of it often. Halloween was her favorite holiday, and she loved celebrating with her family each Fall. Katie was also a huge fan of Disney, and visited often as a child, on her honeymoon with Derick, and with their children. Most of all, Katie was a loving wife, mother, daughter and friend to all.
