Les K. Hoffman

Les K. Hoffman, age 76 of Osceola, formerly of Lebanon, New Jersey, passed away September 10. 2024, at the Ernestine Raclin House, Center for Hospice Care.  Les was born April 3, 1948, in St. Augustine, Florida.

He is survived by his son, Peter (Rachel) Hoffman of Osceola, and Allison (Mike) Meila of Doylestown, Pennsylvania, along with 4 grandchildren: Jeremiah, Bethany, Daniel and Georgia.  He was preceded in death by his father, George L. Mundy and his mother Doris (Breitenberger) Hoffman.

A private graveside service was held Friday, September 13, 2024, in Olive Cemetery of Elkhart.  Cruz Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service has been entrusted with his care.

Les was the proud owner of CJ Hobbies in Bound Brook, New Jersey for many years until his retirement in 2017. He was well-known for his passion for building and collecting model airplanes, a hobby that not only brought him great joy but also earned him several awards from the Academy of Model Aeronautics of which he was a longtime member.

Throughout his life, Les had a remarkable ability to connect with people and loved talking to anyone and everyone. Known for his “gift of gab,” he turned strangers into friends. His storytelling, along with his famous "dad jokes," brought laughter and joy to all who knew him.

Les was also passionate about animals. He cherished his cats and found great delight in feeding the birds and wildlife around his home.
