Linda Kristine Freel, age 70 of Mishawaka, passed away Thursday, January 16, 2020 at the Hospice House in Elkhart. Linda was born December 15, 1949 to the late William “Bill” and Norma (Roe) Freel.
Surviving are her children Daniel (Tracy) Terhorst and Michael Wardlow, both of Hawaii, and Lori Hafer of South Bend. Also surviving is her granddaughter Hailey Buchner. Linda changed Hailey’s life by having the courage and determination to adopt and raise her as her own. Surviving as well are 8 additional grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Linda is also survived by her siblings Richard Bellairs Jr. and Keith Bellairs, both of Mishawaka, Tori (Kevin) Yoder of Granger, Todd (Isha) Freel of Elkhart, Tawn (Nathan) Kizer of Plymouth and Trent (Becky) Freel of East Lansing, Michigan and her step-mother Arlene Freel. Preceding her in death was her father Bill Freel and her mother Norma Bellairs.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the 7:00 pm Celebration of Life on Thursday, January 23, 2020 at Cruz Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Osceola. Interment will be held at a later time in Highland Cemetery, South Bend.
Linda was employed for over 20 years with Forest River, GLAVAL Bus. In addition, she was the owner and manager of the Fondue Parlor in the 100 Center Mishawaka during the 1990’s. In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, photography, gardening and dancing.
