LLOYD RICHARD ZIMMERLE November 21, 1918 - September 23, 2014
ELKHART- Lloyd Richard Zimmerle, 95, of Elkhart, passed away at 8:00 a.m. Tuesday September 23, 2014 at Hubbard Hill Estates. He was born November 21, 1918 in Elkhart to the late Herman & Louise (Zimmerle) Zimmerle. On July 12, 1964 in Elkhart he married Betty L. Detwiler. She survives along with two sons, Lon & Lynn Zimmerle both of Elkhart and a sister, Helen Werman also of Elkhart. He was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond and a sister Erma Reihl. Lloyd graduated in 1937 from Jimtown High School and served in the US Army during W.W.II from 1941 -1945. He enjoyed gardening and retired in 1984 from Uniroyal in Mishawaka where he worked as a supervisor in the shipping department. Visitation for family and friends will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday at Zimmerman-Inman Funeral Home in Osceola. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday September27, 2014 at the funeral home. Pastor Dan Gelatt will preside and burial will follow at California Road Cemetery where full military honor s will be rendered. Memorial contributions may be given to the Cornerstone Baptist Church in Elkhart.
