Louis O. Larson, 83, of Osceola passed away on Thursday April 24, 2014 at his home. He was born May 15, 1930 in Kimball, SD to Henry & Bernice (Sheldon) Larson.
On September 16, 1971 in Paragough, Arkansas he married Alice Joan (Johnson) Crawford.
She preceded him in death on April 6, 2014 in Elkhart. Surviving are 2 sons, Louis L. (Chris) Larson of Elkhart, Raymond C. (Lynn) Larson of Osceola; a stepdaughter, Joanie Howe of Mishawaka; a stepson, Walter Crawford of Osceola; five grandchildren, one whom he helped raise, Allen (Tangula) Crawford of Mishawaka and ten great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, Charles.
Louis was a member of the Osceola United Methodist Church, a 27 year member of the Moose Lodge, a member of the American Union Pigeon Racing Association and he was a volunteer at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center. Louis was a maintenance man at L.E. Johnson Products in Elkhart, retiring in 1996.
Visitation for family and friends will be for two hours prior to the 1:00 p.m. Tuesday April 29, 2014 funeral service at Zimmerman-Inman Funeral Home. Pastor Bob Vale from the Osceola United Methodist Church will preside and entombment will follow in Riverview Cemetery in South Bend.
